Spring 2025

We will have many Wisconsin Native Plants available this year. These perennials are great for supporting pollinator communities while giving your yard some low-care color. Grown in central Wisconsin, these hardy plants are sure to thrive at your house. Please check out this pdf document for more information about the plants’ sizes, zone, lighting requirements and other characteristics. These plants will arrive the second week in May. As they are grown a couple of hours North of Madison in central Wisconsin, it is important to give them enough time to be ready to hit the ground running in your yard. All of these cultivars were specifically selected to thrive in Madison, Wisconsin for the benefit of butterflies, bees and hummingbirds.

Annual Flowers, Herbs and Vegetables

We source most of our outdoor plants from Central Wisconsin & Northern Iowa. We get the best strawberries & caladiums from Ontario.

Our first delivery during the last week of April will have cold hard annuals, vegetables and herbs. All of these plants can be planted outside immediately (except basil, we ordered extra of those because y’all are basil crazy).

This second delivery will have a great selection of sun and heat loving herbs, vegetables and flowers. Some of these plants will need to be sheltered from the cold, and caution is advised until the threat of frost has passed. In particular, be careful with tomatoes, peppers, basil, begonias, & coleus,

The first week in May our sidewalk display will be filled with a riot of color as we get into the full swing of spring. Check out these exciting cultivars we have selected for you this year.

The first week in May we will also be receiving a delivery from our friends in Canada. Specializing in strawberries, caladiums, exotic tropical flowers and houseplants, growers in Ontario produce some of the highest quality plants on the market, all while using sustainable and natural methods whenever possible. We are delighted to still be able to source these plants from our friends across the border.

These Canadian grown, ever-bearing strawberries will arrive with fruit already forming on them, so you’ll have a great jump start on your summer garden. Hardy perennials, they will come back year after year. We will also be receiving a lot of their delightful mojito mint. While this is also a great perennial, it is best to proceed with caution when putting mint in your yard, unless that is the only thing you want to grow!

Our final locally grown deliver will have lots of fun statement plants such as colocasias and eucalyptus, and heat loving flowers like portulaca moss rose, zinnia, marigold. In addition to the annual plants listed below, we will be receiving hardy perennial plants this week.
