The Madison Greenhouse Store offers high quality seeds year-round for both the adventurous and nostalgic grower.  We do not sell any GMO seeds. Our carefully curated selection includes many cultivars that will thrive in Wisconsin's climate as well as some hard to find, uncommon plants. We carry many heirloom varieties and offer organic seeds whenever possible. We proudly sell seed packets from four of the best American seed companies that are working hard to preserve our cultural heritage.

Their passion for spreading gardening wisdom led them to create a unique seed packet that is not only beautiful, but is also filled with facts, tips, recipes and quality seed. When they realized that the venerable tradition of American families passing their gardening lore, techniques and even secrets from generation to generation was fading, Curtis and Judy knew they had to help preserve all that knowledge.

Seed savers

Seed Savers Exchange is a non-profit organization based near Decorah, Iowa, that preserves heirloom plant varieties through regeneration, distribution and seed exchange. Their mission is to conserve and promote America’s culturally diverse but endangered garden and food crop heritage for future generations by collecting, growing, and sharing heirloom seeds and plants.
